Who We Are?
Friends On Hill
Community Ride Days

Turns Made Better, Together.
The Community Ride Day Story

Friends On Hill was first created as a means to meet new people and make new friends in Bozeman. I began hosting a free opportunity to get out in the mountains and share a chair(lift) with someone new. With no sign ups or RSVPS, participants are only required to have a valid lift ticket or pass to Bridger Bowl. Whether they grew up here in Bozeman, MT or they just moved to town, Friends On Hill provides an inclusive environment to foster life lasting friendships.
I first moved to Bozeman in 2012, attending school at Montana State University. Over the years I have made many friends, and many friends have since moved on from Bozeman. Memories I always cherish and remember most are those from riding the chairlift together. Spending all day together, lapping the runs at Bridger Bowl. As time has gone on, we as a town have seen the rapid growth of Bozeman and the surrounding Gallatin Valley. You can feel the sense of community loosen as the roads widen and the buildings get taller. I created Friends On Hill to help reestablish that community.
As a lifelong snowboarder the friendships, bonds and memories I have made on the mountain have helped to shape my life. All of the chairlift conversations, stories and laughs. The struggles of first learning how to link my two turns together, to the successful feeling on a powder day. The lessons I found within snowboarding transcended into my everyday life. I learned to preserve through a problem. I gained the ability to break a problem down step by step, fine tuning and getting better as I went. I learned how to fall and more importantly, I learned how to get back up.
In my thirteen years of living in Bozeman, MT I have always recognized how nice everyone is in town. Through experience and time, I have also been able to see how cliquey Bozeman can be. I created Friends On Hill to break down this barrier by inviting anyone and everyone to share a chair with me.
